AWARDS
BEST OF SHOW: $500 (minimum)
The artist whose work is juried as ‘BEST of SHOW’ will receive a $500 cash prize.
PEOPLES’ CHOICE: $250
The artist whose work is voted ‘People’s Choice’ by attendees at the OPENING NIGHT & COCKTAIL FUNDRAISER will receive a $250 cash prize.



ELIGIBILITY:
This call for submission is open to…
-All residents of Canada, 18 years of age or older.
-English speaking-This may be filmed for English television therefore you must be able to communicate in English.
-Artists who presently have no exclusive affiliation with an agent or Montreal art gallery.

NOTE: Submissions are considered complete ONLY when accompanied by full payment. (See PayPal button below)
This is a *juried exhibition for artists working in paint or paint related media.
All artwork must be original in concept, design and execution.
Artists accepted into the competition receive 1 free ticket to attend the Opening Exhibition & Fundraising evening. All other tickets must be purchased through AvenueArt.ca.

JUDGING:
To be eligible for the actual Brush Off competition & exhibition, you must first be excepted into the competition by way of Jury Process. Final judging for prizes will be on site May 30th. Jurors may reject entries that differ significantly from their digital images. Decision of the judges are final.

FEES & SUBMISSION:
Fees: Entry Fee $45.00 ($51.74 tax included) for up to three (3) images
All entry fees are non-refundable
Submissions:
Only original works may be submitted.
Make sure that your photos are of good quality; this is how your work will be judged.
ONLINE: All submissions must be in jpg file format. No slides, photographs or DVDs! Print page 3 and 4 of form below and email to info@avenueart.ca once it is completed along with the jpegs of your paintings and the confirmation of payment via Paypal. See Paypal button below. (on webpage)
REGULAR MAIL: CD’s will be accepted when application is submitted by mail. Print and complete page 3 and 4 of form below and include the CD along with payment. Make cheques to 3286924 Canada Inc.
Please label your CD with your name clearly.


SALES AND REPRODUCTION:
The Avenue Art Gallery receives a 50% commission on sales.
The gallery reserves the right to reproduce accepted entries for publicity purposes. The Gallery reserves the right to offer up to 15% discount off the retail price to Interior Designers.
Commissions will be paid from the discounted sales price.

RETURNING OF WORK:
To be determined before May 3rd, 2013 deadline.



The BRUSH OFF is searching for new and exciting artists who exhibit originality, consistency, marketability and commitment to the art world.

A portion of proceeds will go to support art based projects for people living with Alzheimer's disease.
