Awards
BEST OF SHOW: $ 500. The artist whose work is juried as ‘BEST of SHOW’ will receive a $500 cash prize and a complimentary one-year MMFA membership.
PEOPLES’ CHOICE: $250. The artist whose work is voted ‘Best’ by attendees at the Show opening will receive a $250 cash prize and a complimentary one-year MMFA membership.

Important-
This is a competition involving an elimination process (you must be willing to be filmed for television as this may be a possibility)

Eligibility:
This call for submission is open to
-All residents of Canada 18 years of age or older.
-English speaking-This may be filmed for English television therefore you must be able to communicate in English.
-Artists who presently have no exclusive affiliation with an agent or Montreal art gallery.

This is a juried exhibition for artists working in paint or paint related media. All artwork must be original in concept, design and execution

Judging:
Final judging will be on site. Jurors may reject entries that differ significantly from their digital images. Decision of the judges is final.



Fees and Submissions:
$45 ($50.80 tax included) for up to three (3) images
All entry fees are non-refundable
Only original works may be submitted.
All submissions must be in jpg file format. No slides, photographs or DVDs.
CD’s will be accepted when application is submitted by mail.
Please label your CD with your name clearly
Make sure that your photos are of good quality; this is how your work will be judged.


Sales and reproductions
The Avenue Art Gallery receives a 50% commission on sales.
The gallery reserves the right to reproduce accepted entries for publicity purposes. The Gallery reserves the right to offer up to 15% discount off the retail price to Interior Designers.
Commissions will be paid from the discounted sales price.


Return of works
Return of works
Accepted entries must be picked up between May 24th and May 26th, 2010 between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. Work to be shipped must have a pre-paid shipping label and will be sent out by May 27th. Any remaining work will incur a $5.00/day storage fee.



WE are searching for artists who show originality, consistency, marketability and commitment to the art world.





A portion of proceeds will go to support the ART LINKS Project, a Champagne Memories Gala initiative for people living with Alzheimer's disease.
