RONALD BOAKS
Niagara artist Ronald Boaks was born in Newmarket, Ontario. He received his diploma in creative art at Sheridan College in 1975. In 2015 he moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake, where he opened his gallery, Ronald Boaks Collectibles. He works in a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, and collage, but he is best known for his vivid expressive abstract paintings in which he aims to reflect beauty, balance, desire and humor.
Exhibitions and Collections:
Since his participation in the major exhibition Forum 76 at the Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal , he has been exhibited throughout Canada and the United States at galleries including the Art Gallery of Hamilton, the Art Gallery of Ontario and Lonsdale Gallery. His work is included in various private and public collections including the Bank of Montreal, Museum London, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and Four Seasons Hotel (London, England).
He is the recipient of the International Brush Off Competition's "May Cutler Award" 9th Editiion.
