About Avenue Art & Cutler Crane Galleries
Avenue Art opened its doors in December, 1995 with the mission to promote and encourage Canadian emerging artists with a focus on the local Montreal/Quebec unique artistic flavor. Embedded in the artistic community, Marina Cutler, founder and curator has introduced emerging artists to collectors, both young and seasoned. She has helped the artists to establish careers by blending unique marketing strategies with traditional artistic methods. In 2010, the Canadian Painting Competition, "THE BRUSH OFF" was launched by Avenue Art Gallery and has become a growing success story. (click link to read more). It continues to spotlight new and exciting artists each year while sharing the platform to raise awareness and funds for art based activities for people living with Alzheimer's disease. In 2016, Avenue Art, continuing to grow with the times, shifted from bricks and mortar, 20 years after opening in a warehouse on the Lachine Canal in Montreal to a "Global Online Gallery" AVENUEART.CA Realizing that collectors and shoppers now seek out art in an entirely different manner, AvenueArt.ca has not only furnished a place for buyers to shop 24/7 but for artists from around the globe to share their works in a matter of moments. "What excites artists and collectors about working with us is our reputation, we are not new to this ever changing business, we have a 20+ year track record of repeat clients and now engaging their children as new collectors." say Marina Cutler. Avenue Art continues to embrace creative marketing and unique art styled events in partnership with their production division E=MC2 Events. We create opportunities that allow artist's works to be viewed in person for short periods of time at private functions, corporate collaborations and "Pop Up" Galleries.
