About the Exhibition
In this exhibition, "PETAL PUSHER WITH LOVE" artist Cathy Benny draws us into her world one petal at a time, sharing her optimism through each bloom. She does this with color, texture and the unapologetic chaotic movement of a spatula, brushes and splash of zest for life.
She creates a story of petals that may or may not have a real existence but that are now born by intertwining a touch of romance into the painting breathing them into existence.
We can all imagine ourselves immersed in the folds of each petal and enveloped in a world that is surrounded by optimism. While winding us through that road, she masterfully chooses the perfect balance of light, color and movement to remind us not only of the beauty, but the complexity and thought it takes to achieve such a work of art. Beauty and strength frozen in time for your viewing pleasure.
