TINO PETRONZIO
Tino Petronzio born in Bronx, New York of Italian decent, studied art at the state University of New York and the Art students League in Manhattan.
He studied with the renowned anatomist Dr. Beverley Hale, [student of George Bridgman], the prolific painter and draftsman Vincent Capraro, the famous Armenian sculptor Koran Dar Harootian, Raymond Puccinelli of San Francisco, and also with the great Florentine painter Pietro Annigoni. Accumulating precious knowledge from the Academies of Fine arts in Florence and Venice to the foundries of Pietra Santa, he also traveled and studied at the Rijksmuseum in Holland.
Tino emigrated to Canada in 1969, and passed 12 years in Cape Breton where he founded his sculpture studio and Nova Scotia's first bronze art foundry. He relocated to Montreal in 1987.
