Award winning Canadian photographer, Mark Tomalty (b. 1959 Montreal)
Mark grew up St Bruno, Quebec where he spent much of his youth (before, after and, sometimes, during school hours) exploring the natural world of Mont Bruno Provincial Park.
For Mark, with Irish roots and heritage in the Wendake First Nation, photography is more than a profession. It is a way of life. He is a prolific photographer with a keen eye capturing images that bridge documentary and fine art.
He finds inspiration in most anything and is equally at home exploring the subtleties of the natural world as he is documenting the shinny hockey culture of Montreal’s neighborhood rinks.
Well-respected by his peers, Mark draws on a wide range of photographic skills acquired from over 30 years creating images for international clients in the advertising, editorial and corporate sectors.
He has also established a prominent presence in the stock and fine art markets.
Mark divides his time between commissions and personal projects.
